Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was in Ponca City to drop someone off and used Yelp to help me find a good place to eat. With only 1 review, and 5 stars, I decided to check it out for myself. The lunch menu ranged from $5 - $7.99 which makes me happy. I got the combination chicken and beef fajitas for $7.99. They were incredible. The salsa was also excellent. The fajitas did not come on a skillet, but on a plate, but the flavor was out of this world. The waiters and waitresses were busting arse and very attentive. When I needed something, I asked anyone that was passing by and they would bring it, like more salsa and tortilla bread. The interior was pretty neat with TVs and different Spanish/cowboy themes. You pay at the front counter on leaving.

Being a Texan, I know great mexican food. And this place was surprisingly good. There are not a lot of good places to eat in Ponca City for someone who travels but this place was worthy of the other reviews. Good salsa, good chicken with vegetables on top, good service, not too expensive for dinner and clean!

This place is awesome! Great food, beer and service. Anything we requested they provided. We came to town for a funeral. I am so happy I found this little gem if a restaurant in a Podunk town! I am come back for lunch tomorrow!

The server was friendly, but the food... well, let's just say I was bedridden with food poisoning for a week over some shrimp tacos here. My fiance had the same dish, but was able to throw his up, so he didn't stay sick for as long as I did.

I wouldnt say I'm a huge fan of mexican food. However I was in the mood and it being next to the movies (my next stop) I gave it a shot. For a crazy busy place, I got seated right away and ordered quickly. The food came in between 5-8 minutes and was hot and full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly and flavorful, the guacamole tasted great and the food was seasoned well. I am sure there are better restaurants in town, but my experienc here was perfect service, taste, how fast the food came out, everything. I highly recommend paying them a visit.
